Mirjam Dikken was born and raised in the Netherlands. Her interests landed her jobs as a chemical engineer, recruiter, and HR manager, but also brought her to travel and work around the world. She has lived in India for 3.5 years, and recently moved back from Canada after 4 years. She now wanders around in the darker places of her imagination to write thrillers and other fiction. Her stories have appeared in anthologies and on the beer cans of her favourite coffee stout. In 2024, her thriller “Hekate’s Daughter” will be published by Stonehouse Publishing. She lives in Oud-Beijerland, the Netherlands, with her family.

With “Hekate’s Daughter” (previously titled “On the other side of the river”), she won first place in the thriller category in CritiqueMatch’s contest for the first ten pages, in spring 2021.
In February 2022, CKUA Radio interviewed her about her story ‘Buddy’, published on a beer can of Blindman Brewing. You can listen to it here.
